Change!

Change, change, and more change – it continues all around at breath-taking acceleration. There seems to be nothing we are fonder of than change! Daily we are hammered with the pressure that if we do not change, we will get ran over by others that do.

“The future ain’t what it used to be,” quipped famed baseball manager, Yogi Berra, and he was absolutely right! But what he said doesn’t apply just to baseball – it applies to missions as well.

We are living in a time of global change of such seismic proportion that it is redefining how mission should best be done. Ministries most willing to adjust will be the ones remaining most relevant over the passing of these changing times.

Because many of our member missions have recognized this they have made, or are in the process of making, substantial changes themselves.

IFMA* has decided it is time for a major change as well! After 90 years of bearing the same name, the association has overwhelmingly agreed that, while keeping its purpose intact, it is best to be called by a new name.

In this issue of Visions you’ll read about the how and why of our name change, as well as the significance of our new logo. Join with us in our excitement as we anticipate the future and move forward with our new name: CrossGlobal Link.
